Theatre and Dance Partners with South Korea's Dongseo University

Kent State University’s School of Theatre and Dance has embarked on a new international partnership with South Korea’s Dongseo University. The collaboration is spearheaded by Kent State theatre professors Jakyung Seo and Eric van Baars.

 In this first stage of the partnership, Associate Professor Eric van Baars (pictured) will travel to Busan, South Korea this month to join the Dongseo faculty as a guest artist. Dongseo University faculty members have already visited Kent State as well as Porthouse Theatre.
 
Student Annual Art Exhibit Opens Thursday

The Kent State University   School of Art will host the 2014 Student Annual art exhibition March 6-20 at the School of Art Gallery in the Art Building.

The Student Annual is the only exhibition of the semester that comprises a juried sampling of both graduate and undergraduate student work.

There will be an opening reception for the show on Thurs., March 6, 5-7 p.m
.  The reception will boast live jazz accompaniment and double as an award ceremony, with over $1,500 distributed to the artists.
