Enjoy "Dance '12: Winterplay" This Weekend
 The KSU School of Theatre and Dance presents an evening of choreography created by dance faculty members on Sat., Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. and Sun., Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. in the E. Turner Stump Theatre in the Music and Speech Center at 1325 Theatre Drive. Tickets: $16 adults, $14 KSU faculty, staff, alumni; $12 seniors; $8 students under 18 or with college ID; and free for all KSU full-time undergraduate students. Dance '12 is a collaboration between faculty and students in the School of Theatre and Dance and involves more than 75 dancers, designers, faculty members, crew members and staff. Kent Chorus Performs Holiday Concert
The Kent Chorus will inspire holiday cheer with its performance on Sun., Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the University Auditorium at Cartwright Hall.
The Kent Chorus is made up of more than 100 KSU students, faculty and staff, and Kent community members. Its seasonal selections will include Benjamin Britten's "A Ceremony of Carols" accompanied by KSU alumna Nancy Paterson on the harp. The Men's and Women's Choruses are guest performers.

School of Art Gallery Presents BFA Gala
The work of several KSU bachelor of fine arts candidates will be presented as part of the BFA Gala, Dec. 3 through Dec. 7. The gallery, located in the Art Building at 400 Janik Drive on the Kent Campus, will host a reception on Thurs., Dec. 6 from 5-7 p.m.
Now in its second year, the BFA Gala features artwork from students in a variety of art disciplines. The student exhibitors will include Alexand Strader (drawing), Hannah Greenbaum (glass), Kirstin Wilders (ceramics) and Amanda Derr (ceramics).

Create Your Own Unique, Printed Scarf  On Wed., Dec. 5 from 5-6:30 p.m., the Kent State University Fashion School's TechStyleLAB will present a special holiday workshop "Introduction to Digital Textile Printing: How to Create a Scarf." The cost per person is $50 and can be paid by cash or check. Reservations are required. The workshop will be held in the June F. Mohler Fashion Library in Rockwell Hall at 515 Hilltop Drive, just behind the Kent State University Museum. Call 330-672-1635 or e-mail tslab@kent.edu for more information. The workshop is suitable for beginners and is open to anyone, including students, faculty and staff, as well as the general public. All material is provided and no sewing is required. The scarves will be ready for pickup by Fri., Dec. 14, making the project a perfect holiday gift.

Ceramic Artist to Lecture in School of Art
The School of Art, the Ceramics Club, and the Michener Lecture Series present ceramic artist Anna Callouri Holcombe on Dec. 6 and 7. Holcombe's work utilizes different shapes and formats, including tondo (round relief), porcelain slipcast vessels and boxes. She uses specialized ceramic techniques for her work, including utilizing tarpaper to create more stable walls and boxes.
On Thurs., Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. she will visit and lecture in the Ceramics Studio, including some demonstrations in the studio. The lecture will include Holcombe's research on European and Chinese procelain.
On Fri., Dec. 7 at noon, Holcombe will present a free, public lecture in room 202 of the Art Building. She will speak on her development as an artist.
